Commercial RO system for dialysis
Since the 1970s, with the advancement of dialysis treatment technology, Commercial ro system has been gradually and widely introduced into hemodialysis to prepare dialysate for the treatment of patients with acute renal failure and end-stage renal failure, ensuring that the quality of the dialysate meets strict standards.
What is hemodialysis?
Dialysis is primarily used as a replacement therapy for kidney failure, specifically for patients with kidney failure or decreased kidney function (approximately 10-15%). It helps maintain the patient's health by removing metabolic waste, excess water, and regulating electrolytes.

Blood is passed through a dialysis machine, where contaminants in the blood are filtered through a dialysis membrane into a concentrated solution called dialysate, thus purifying the blood.
The dialysate is a mixture of the following components: bicarbonate components (which may be sodium bicarbonate and sodium chloride); acidic components (containing sodium chloride, potassium chloride (if necessary), calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, acetate (or citrate) and glucose (optional)); and ultrapure water as the mixing medium.
Why does a dialysis need commercial ro system?
During hemodialysis, a patient's blood needs to be passed through a dialysis machine to remove waste and excess water. To prevent infection from microorganisms in the water, the dialysate used must be ultrapure water. Therefore, XJY Company manufactures commercial ro system for dialysis machines.
The demand for ultrapure water varies depending on the capacity of the dialysis center and the treatment methods used by each center; therefore, XJY Company offers customized services.

Why can't tap water be used for dialysis?
Dialysis fluid is typically sourced from tap water, but tap water cannot be used directly. Municipal water supply systems add chemicals to ensure drinking water safety, and tap water does not meet dialysis Water Treatment standards.
These chemicals include flocculants (such as aluminum sulfate), fluorides, and polyphosphates (used to reduce corrosion), as well as various disinfectants (such as ozone, chlorine dioxide, chlorine, and chloramines). If these substances enter the patient's bloodstream, they may cause infection or poisoning.
Therefore, ultrapure water—the water used in hemodialysis—is crucial for dialysis centers. XJY's commercial ro system can ensure the safety of ultrapure water for dialysis centers and hospitals

How does commercial RO system make dialysis water?
Preparing ultrapure water (dialysis water) requires a two-stage Reverse Osmosis System made of sanitary-grade 304 stainless steel. It undergoes at least one chemical cleaning and disinfection process, using chemicals such as sodium hypochlorite, hydrogen peroxide, hydrochloric acid, citric acid, and caustic soda.

- Step 1:Before tap water enters the reverse osmosis module, it undergoes preliminary filtration (quartz sand, activated carbon, and softening resin filtration) to remove chlorine, chloramines, and other contaminants, preventing chemical corrosion of the reverse osmosis membrane and reducing its workload.
- Step 2: Water then passes through the reverse osmosis membrane module twice more, utilizing a 0.0001-micron pore size to remove 98% of ions and dissolved substances.
- Step 3:
Thermal disinfection: Heating the water to a specific temperature (usually 80-90°C) and maintaining it for a certain time (approximately 30 minutes) kills bacteria and other microorganisms in the water.
Ultraviolet disinfection: Utilizing ultraviolet light with a wavelength of 200-290 nanometers, it destroys the bacterial cell structure, inactivating bacteria and viruses.
Can commercial RO system meets the standard standards for dialysis?
The Association for the Advancement of Medical Devices (AAMI) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) have established chemical standards for dialysis water, covering equipment and processes, equipment used for water storage and delivery, and water contamination thresholds.
We must provide patients with purified water that meets or exceeds these chemical and microbiological standards. Reverse osmosis equipment for dialysis provides you with the highest quality water. Let XJY Company provide you with XJY Commercial ro system for dialysis.
